Starting your journey with Love Learn Soar is a step towards empowering your child to overcome social and behavioral challenges in Boynton Beach, FL and surrounding areas. We understand that beginning this process can feel overwhelming, so we've outlined clear, easy steps to help you get started.

  • Initial Consultation Phone Call

Schedule an initial phone call with our CEO, Mia Belsky, BCBA. This meeting allows you to ask questions, discuss your child's needs, and understand the services we offer.

  • Complete the Insurance Verification Form

Once you provide us with your email address, you will receive an insurance verification form. Please complete it and submit to the email address on the form. Please include your child's diagnostic report from the physician who diagnosed your child with ASD, as well as the front and back of your child's insurance card. This will allow us to check your insurance benefits.

  • Insurance and Funding

Check with your insurance provider to understand coverage for ABA therapy. Some insurance plans cover ABA services, but coverage can vary widely. The ABA provider may also offer guidance on funding options and assistance programs.

  • Assessment and Individualized Treatment Plan

Your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will schedule a time to conduct an assessment to evaluate your child's strengths, weaknesses, and specific needs. Based on this assessment, they will create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child's requirements. The plan will be sent to you for review and signature and then sent to your insurance company for authorization. Authorizations last six months, at which time we will update the plan.

  • Start of Services

Once your insurance company approves the treatment plan, your child can begin ABA therapy sessions. These sessions will typically involve activities designed to improve specific skills (e.g., communication, social skills, behavior management) and strategies to decrease maladaptive behaviors based on the treatment plan. These services may be delivered to your child by your child's BCBA or by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), who your BCBA will train and oversee to ensure ultimate progress.

  • Parent Involvement

ABA therapy includes parent training sessions, which are required by all insurance companies. These sessions are crucial for parents to learn techniques used in therapy and how to reinforce skills at home. Active parent involvement can greatly enhance the effectiveness of ABA therapy.

  • Ongoing Monitoring and Adjustments

Throughout the therapy process, the BCBA will continually monitor your child's progress. They will make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed to ensure your child is making optimal gains.

  • Collaboration and Communication

Maintain open communication with your BCBA. Discuss any concerns or observations you have about your child's progress. Collaboration between parents and therapists is key to the success of ABA therapy.
